In each version of the play, the setting seems more calmer and more down to earth throughout the scenes. In the first version, it was all black and white. The director is trying to convey old fashioned times. The second version was colored with the catacombs. The director is trying to convey outdoor old modern times. The third version was very light and a mix of modern and old day. In this version, the director was trying to convey both times in one but yet very wierd took in an old mansion. The Fourth version was captured all indoors also with the tv showing a bomb in it at blockbusters. The modern Day version.
In the first version, there was no music and a dry mood. The second version had very little music at the beginning and not very happy mood. The Third version had music during the whole scene and even inside the mansion, as the characters were acting out the play, theyre was a mysterious music in the backround. The Fourth Version had more of a modern day instrumental music to it in the blockbuster store. In the begininng it sounded as if he was talking the play out and in the middle of it, it sounded as more as if he were singing it and went along with the music.
In the first, second, third and fourth version, they all mostly have alot, yet, enough lighting throughout the play. The choices the director chooses all reinforce his speeches. Especially the props used in the last version. The videos.
The figurative aspects of the speeches that are taken literally are the way the actor portrays his act and how he says the scene, if there is much enthusiasm or is it bland. Moods are important in speeches. The director uses the symbols throughout the speech by using music, finding out what happens throught the play and uses a dagger or mirrors through his pays.
The emotion is fierce and intense when the actor repeats the lines. It changes throught the speech when the emotions change and if the act is meant to be strong and mean or if it's meant to be soft and gentle.
I think there are so many versions of the play because they'res soo many ways it can be acted out. It can be in a happy mood, sad mood and directed with different people. Hamlet's universalities are different and different moods acte out on the play. Personally, my favorite play acted out was the last version. Just the fact that it being so modern and todays time and used more modern music and looks newer and explainable then the rest f the plays acted out.

Hamlet
- In the first version, the characters seemed on edge all the time and very verbal and war like style. In the second version, It seemed calmer and not so tense. In the thurd version, the characters were portrayed more like todays world. Not so much old english talking, it seemed more calmer and normal.
- In the first version, the music was horns and instrumental. The second version had very little music to it. The third version had more of like background lusic to it.
- In the first version, the lighting was quite dark and eery. The second was bright and more like it has life to it. The third version seemed just dry and not much lighting. Although most of it was taken indoors. Unlike the second version.
- In all three versions, I do not think there were any special effects.
- The director used visual elememts by going back to what Hamlet always says and re wording it in the different versions. But yet, always goe back to Hamlet and the ghost. Only in this last version, the ghost touches Hamlet.
